What to Know Before You Go

We've put together a few basic guidelines to help ensure you have a safe and timely departure.

In order to ensure everyone has time to pass through security, you must check in at least 60 minutes in advance of scheduled departure.

For our Catch the Wave sailing on Saturday June 27, 2009, this means you should be onboard no later than 3:30 p.m. Boarding usually starts at around 11:00 am and we recommend you arrive by midday to board the ship and have lunch.

If you have not checked in 60 minutes prior to departure, you will be considered a no-show, and your booking will be cancelled and cancellation penalties applied.

Friends and relatives are welcome to come to the dock to see you off. However, for security reasons, they will not be allowed to board the ship at any port.

Boarding

We advise you plan to reach the pier at around noon. That way you can board the ship and have your lunch in the Horizon Court on Lido Deck.

Luggage Tags

In addition to your personal identification tag, please attach a completed Princess luggage tag which has been included in your pre-cruise documents. Please remove any old airline flight tags. If you are staying at a hotel pre-cruise, it is recommended you wait until you get to the hotel before you put on your luggage tag in order to avoid confusion for the airline.

Please note: Many domestic airline carriers are now imposing excess baggage charges for amounts over 50 lbs., so it is advisable to check with your carrier regarding weight restrictions.

Carry-on Luggage

Please be aware that your luggage may not be delivered to your stateroom until 5 pm or so. For this reason, pack any medications in your carry-on bags. If you are planning on using the pool, sauna, etc on the first afternoon, be sure to pack your swimsuit in your carry-on.
